Well its been about three weeks since I have written in my journal and lots has happened. First I start off with saying that the first few day of chemo were tough but with the help of Kerstin Wheale (my great friend, energy worker, massage therapist and an all around amazing person) the side effect disappeared.
I started Thalidamide, a drug that is designed to stop the formation of new blood vessels that supply any tumors within the body, a little over two weeks ago. That was rough. I felt beside myself, completely tired, had slight dizziness, and dry mouth. Unfortunately Kerstin Wheale was out of town for two weeks so I could get my usual energy work done to alleviate the side effect. And that's when I ran into Andres Schwerte.
Andres Schwerte is an amazing Acupuncturist located down town. I ran into him while walking with Sally. He offered his services for free to help me along in my healing journey. After three sessions and some herbal supplements 85% of the symptoms were gone.
Unfortunately some new symptoms just came about. My hair started falling out. I have two bald spots on the back of my head. I went and got my hair cut short...so I wouldn't have to see long hair falling out of my head. The hair loss has stopped. It only lasted for a few days. Over all things could be a lot worse. I am very thankful for all of your support and love. Meghan
